The entire Delhi is under lockdown amid growing infection of the corona virus. International and domestic traffic services, including metro, inter-state buses, have been suspended in Delhi till 6 pm on Monday, 31 March. Only 25 percent of DTC buses will remain on the roads for emergencies.
All the borders of Delhi have also been sealed. All types of shops, commercial establishments and factories will remain closed except for the drug shops, fruit-vegetable shops and milk plants. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that after taking stock of the situation, the next decision will be taken after March 31.
In a joint press conference with the Lieutenant Governor, the Chief Minister said that examples from all over the world show that the sooner the virus is prevented from spreading, the better it is. Currently 27 are infected in Delhi. Out of this, only six cases are related to ill of one person to another. 21 cases are from outside. Right now Delhi is in a situation in which the virus is not spread from one to the other.
Arvind Kejriwal said that if we do not take tough steps today, if it spreads tomorrow then there will be no effect of lockdown. Italy is an example of this. Then, if the lockdown occurs after the outbreak, health services will not be able to deal with it. More people may die than this. In such a situation, for the health of Delhiites, it has been decided that the lockdown of Delhi is being done from 6 am Monday to 31 March midnight.
According to the Chief Minister, the services needed during lockdown are being exempted. All other services will remain closed. No more than five people are allowed to gather in one place. During this time strict action will be taken against anyone who violates the law.

High level meeting at Raj Niwas
On Sunday, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his cabinet colleagues and senior officials held a high-level meeting in the Lieutenant Governor’s Office. It decided on the steps to be taken as a precautionary measure to limit the effect of the corona virus.
Assembly will run, budget will be passed
The Chief Minister said that the Assembly session is on Monday. Employees attached to it are excluded from the lockdown. He can reach the assembly. In the one-day budget session, the government will present the 2020-21 budget and also pass it.
Verification on the road itself will be enough
The Chief Minister said that if a person meets on the road and he says that the services which are being exempted are connected to him, then he will be let go. By not asking for a certificate from him, he will be convinced.
Private institution closed, but will have to pay salary
The Chief Minister said that whatever private institutions will remain closed during this period, but their personnel will be considered on duty. In this case, all employers have to pay their workers during lockdown. Whether it is contractual or permanent.
Warnings to mask and sanitizer vendors
The Chief Minister said that complaints are being received that there is black marketing of masks and sanitizers. At a time when the country is a disaster and if someone does black marketing then it is wrong. It is not only a violation of law but is also against humanity. The Chief Minister warned that these people should hawk. So far 327 places have been raided and cases against 437 have been registered. Strict action will be taken against such visitors.
These services will be closed after Lockdown in Delhi

Lockdown is done in emergency
