What is PM KISAN?
The PM Kisan program, a central sector program that provides full funding from the central government for marginal and small farmers, is called the central sector program. It came into effect on December 1, 2018. It provides Rs. 6,000 per annum in three installments to farmers’ lands.
Farm families will be identified as support farmers through the assistance of the state government and the UT administration. The beneficiaries will receive the funds directly into their bank accounts. This definition of family includes the spouse, minor children, and husband.

PM KISAN eligibility criteria

PM KISAN Exclusion category
These beneficiaries are not eligible for the scheme’s benefits.

- Family members of breeders who belong to one or more of these categories
- Current and former holders of constitutional functions.
- Former and current ministers, ministers in state, former district presidents of Panchayats mayors of municipal corporations, members Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, state legislative assemblies, or state legislative councils.
- Retired and active civil servants and retired employees of ministries, offices or departments of the central or state government, its field units or central/state PES, and subsidiary offices or autonome institutions under government and employees. (Excluding Class IV / Multitasking staff / Group D employees).
- Retirees and retirees who receive a monthly pension exceeding Rs 10,000 (exclusion: Class IV/multitasking/Group D employees).
- Anybody who has paid income tax in the past tax year.
- Engineers, doctors, Chartered Accountants and Lawyers are all members of Professional Associations. They practice their profession through practices.
Benefits under the PM KISAN
All farming families with arable land under their names are eligible for income support of Rs 6,000 annually under the PM KISAN scheme.

How do I correct my bank and Aadhaar information?
Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi, (PMKISAN), provides annual cash transfers to beneficiaries in three phases. The first phase runs from April through July. The second is between August and November. The third is between December and March.

In June 2019, the benefits were extended to 14.5 crores of acres for all farm families, regardless of their land size.
The PM Kisan regime excludes institutional landowners, farmers families in constitutional positions and active or retired civil servants as well as employees of the state, central government, public sector enterprises, and autonomous bodies.
